Thank you for your support!

July 24, 2008

We have a bit more than a month and things are evolving pretty well. We have brand new speakers (that I will talk about in the very next post) and the Sales Campaign is on the run. I wish to dedicate this article to all those who collaborated with us in promoting the conference throughout the country. And here I want to sincerely thank:

Marius Ghenea for mentioning Iashington in one of his website articles.

Adrian Monoranu for posting our conference logo on his personal site

Orlando Nicoara that mentioned Iashington on his blog.

And the list can go on: Andi, Marius Butuc, Simona, Stefan Craus, Andrei Rosca, Alexandru Negru, Ines Prodan, Ciprian Gavriliu, Marius Sescu.

We apreciate your help!

Iashington Team Building @ Ruginoasa

July 15, 2008

After a long period of hard work and lots of hours spent in sales, public relations, promo and various activities, we took a well deserved break and booked this Sunday, all for ourselves, for fun, geting to know each other and most of all, having some fine moments to rest and enjoy nature. So, we took the train and went to Ruginoasa, a near by rural location, at Mr. Liviu (in romanian: Nenea Liviu :P ).

Nice weather, great red wine, delicious romanian traditional food. Here are some photos:

Moving forward with Alex – Promo Participants Responsable

Hi, my name is Alex, 20 years old, student at Spiru Haret -  International Relations

Tell us a few things about you

Active and outgoing personality, I’m never afraid of trying something  new and always looking forward for tommorow.

Hobbies?

Web/print/concept design, music and coffee addicted.

Future plans?

This has always been a very hard question for me, due to the fact that I like to do a variety of things. Coming from a 4 year career in web design, I have found that working as a volunteer in AIESEC is more rewarding than any amount of money I receive for my work elsewhere. All I can say for sure regarding my future plans is that they include AIESEC somewhere in there, and that Iashington is no.1 on my list right now, besides breathing :) )

What does Iashington mean to you?

First of all, I see Iashington as a big challenge for me, on more than one level. Profesionally, I placed a lot of work and passion into the Iashington Conference, and I hope we will be able to give YOU an amazing experience. On a personal level, these past 8 months, and AIESEC in general, have really changed me a lot, starting from the way I think, the way I interact with people around me, the way I approach challenges and express ideas.

Anything else?

Check out www.iashington.org and our dear blog for more info, we upgrade them a lot. And if you like what we’re doing, please don’t hesitate to promote the conference to anyone you can :) Spread the word!

Next is Gugi – Organizing Comitee Promo Participants Coordinator

Age? Faculty? I’m almost 24 years old and I’ve just finished The Faculty of  “Automatic Control and Computer Engineering” from the “Gh. Asachi” Technical  University in Iasi.

Hobbies: I love watching serials and good interesting movies. I like Formula 1 (Go  McLaren) and I’m a very very very big fan of Real Madrid.

Future plans? For the short term plans I hope to finish well my trainee ship in  Bruxelles that I’ve just got and get as much experience as possible. As for long term  plans, in the following years, I think I’m gonna focus mainly on my career and  professional development by getting as much experience as I can but I’ll try to leave  time for my personal things like friends & family.

What does Iashington mean to you? A chance to be part of a great team project and because of my late entrance in AIESEC Iasi committee for sure the only chance to do something special. Also Iashington will stretch and test the limits of my vision towards people and the society in which we are living.

Anything else? “It is enough to succeed; others must fail”
