Let’s continue meeting our team. Today? Geo – Organizing Comitee  President. What can we find out about her?

21 years old, fresh graduate in Finance and Banking at “Al. loan Cuza” University.

“I like everything that makes me free. I love to dance, to spend my spare    time with my friends, reading books and working”

What does Iashington mean to you?

It’s the biggest challenge i had so far in AIESEC and also in my entire     professional career. It’s quite a challenge to take from the  beginning such a big project, to coordinate 11 people with totally different ideas and style of work, to face all the  inevitable problems that appear on course and still do all this with smile on my face, enthusiasm and energy.

Iashington became part of me. It’s the project that made me discover myself, made me stronger and made me realize how big the world is.

Let’s meet Iashington’s 2008 Team. Today we’ll start with Bianca Alexiuc – Organizing Comitee Communication. Well, let’s find a couple of things about her:

22 years old, fresh graduate in Marketing at “Al. I. Cuza” University

“I really enjoy reading, traveling, going to theater, chocolating, listening to music (especially oldies and drum and bass), spending my time with my closest friends, persons that I love”

What are your future plans?

Working hard so that Iashington becomes the greatest international conference that our delegates ever attended / after the conference, one or more marketing internships somewhere outside Romania (could be Portugal, Finland, Switzerland, Canada) / a Master Degree in Marketing also in a foreign country / marrying “the one” and having a nice family with 2 children, a curly brown hair little girl and a sweet little boy / in the meantime, becoming a business woman and why not, having my own business. I also wish to organize more events as Iashington for young people like me now; traveling all over the world with my family. Not a big deal, huh? :P

What does Iashington mean to you?

First, it’s a real challenge because of various reasons; second of all, it’s the event of my life for sure. I know I’ll remember this conference for a long, long time; this conference with it’s speakers, delegates, sessions, organizing committee, meetings, coffee breaks, late nights etc. Iashington is one of the best things that ever happened to me so far, because it makes me discover my own person and sometimes even go beyond my limits.

Anything else you would wanna say?

This is not about me, it’s about those who are reading this post. So, can you spot a great opportunity? :P

Iashington – Keep on rolling!

June 18, 2008

There are almost 2 months until the beginning of the conference and things are going pretty sweet. There is a lot of work, research, promoting campaigns and Organizing Comitee meetings.

  • 3rd Promo Mail is finished and it’s ready to be sent to our contacts
  • We already have a list of accepted participants and this week we are going to make it public. Congratulations in advance :P
  • The Product Sheet is almost ready. There are going to be 2 months of intense selling campaign on the Corporate Department
  • We are working on the final format of the conference, themes of the sessions, configuring the Trip around Romania and the Global Village
  • We had an interesting Iashington Night where we gathered all our forces helped by the entire Local Comitee AIESEC Iasi in order to find and register to as many groups and forums that we could find to promote the event. We planned to have such a night every week until the start of the conference.
  • I promise to post a list of the speakers that will attend the conference. We have news!

Help Us Promote this Great Opportunity by posting the logo into your blogs and personal websites. Here is the code:

Iashington is ready! Are you?

June 1, 2008

Greetings everyone and Good Morning! How was your week?

We had quite a nice week also, with lots of results and lots of  cool ideas to be put in practice for this’ year Iashington. As I was saying this week, Geo, Project Coordinator, went to Bucharest and met with Marius Ghenea (Speaker on Entrepreneurship Track), Tea Catana from Viitor Plus and Dan Vlad from Ziglar Training Romania. Marius Ghenea established the final details with Geo regarding the speech that he will hold. Also, I’m happy to share with you the fact that Ziglar Training offers all their support in organizing this event; Viitor Plus will be Educational Partner on the Sustainable Development Track and will contribute in offering the best possible sessions and workshops.

We’ll be keeping in touch with our latest news and accomplishments!

Have a great weekend! Can you spot a great OPPORTUNITY?
